Commercial Wood Fences
There are a multitude of wood types you could use for fencing. Peerless, however, relies on the two best to provide quality work time and time again.
Copperwood, a product of Ozark Timber, is a treated wood meant to prevent decay, insect damage and rot. It’s backed by a 25-year limited warranty. The preservative used is non-hazardous and is safe for humans, animals and the environment. Upon installation the wood is tinted green (evidence of the preservative), but this fades within a month or two and the wood gains its namesake – a beautiful copper tone. Peerless is the exclusive dealer of Copperwood in the Chicagoland area and has been for 25 years.
Western Red Cedar is the sturdiest and longest lasing grade of cedar wood. It provides the strength and stability needed for a reliable fence but is also soft and pliable for more decorative and intricate styles. Posts can be treated – even steel can be used – to help offset aging and prevent rot.
Wood is a stylish and practical, low-cost option for commercial fences. It’s also multifaceted in its application. Noise reduction, privacy and security can all be achieved while being mindful of aesthetics. Common commercial uses are dumpster enclosures, construction zone barriers for pedestrians, perimeter fencing among others.
